Your time is limited, so don't waste
it living someone else's life. Don't be trapped by dogma - which is living with
the results of other people's thinking. Don't let the noise of other's opinions
drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow
your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to
become. Everything else is secondary - Steve Jobs
This quotation of the late Steve
Jobs really inspires me. Sometimes, we are too weak. We don’t have
self-confidence. We often let people’s opinions drown out our own inner voice
and it makes us don’t have the courage to follow our intuition and what our
heart says.
For example, we’ve had planning ‘A’
and decided to do that planning. We know it’s gonna be great. We’re very sure
about it. But, suddenly, when we communicate our planning to others, they do
not agree with us. All of them have their own different opinion but the essence
is the same: They are insulting your planning and assume that you’re crazy and
too ambitious! And as the impact, you are not confident anymore and (it’s the
worst!) you agree with them, you think you’re too ambitious and your planning
is such a crazy planning.
It’s horrible. Please, just be
yourself! Everybody in this world has their own opinion (which is different
from one another), so do you!
Ralph Waldo Emerson said, “To be
yourself in a world that is constantly trying to make you something else is the
greatest accomplishment.”
And
Oprah said, "The only courage
you ever need is the courage to live the life of your dreams."
